Gigzi and Iritech have formed an exclusive partnership to provide tokenised precious metals protected by biometric security – this is a pioneering step in the innovation of blockchain technologies.
Since its establishment in the year 2000, IriTech’s goal has been to develop the most advanced iris recognition technology and products. IriTech’s algorithm was top-ranked by the US government’s NIST IREX test, and used by the US Immigration and the US Navy. It also achieved STQC certification in India on iris cameras for enrolment, authentication, and mobile devices; becoming the only iris vendor to achieve all three certifications for the Indian government’s UIDAI project. IriTech’s Iris system is the major biometric device used by the UNHCR and the WFP in the United Nations.
Gigzi and Iritech have a joint vision that biometric security will play a key role in the security of our blockchain applications. Close collaboration between our organisations is planned and demonstrates our joint commitment to innovation in biometric technology and security features.
Our product roadmap includes integration with Iritech IP for fake iris detection, iris cameras working under sunlight, and a multimodal system for face and dual-iris scanning combinations.
